Queens, NYC

The second half of Studio 9 had the studio travel to the neighbourhoods of Jackson Heights and North Corona in the New York City borough of Queens. With over 60% of their population born outside of the United States, the neighbourhood is one of the most diverse in the world. Studio 9 aimed to design a culturally significant work set within a prominent urban site.
